Depth of Field
Shifting the focal point made in one picture made my book out focus and the glasses crystal clear. In the other picture, the main focus was the book and as for the glasses/background, it was out of focus. In my set of pictures, I particularly don't think the change of focus changed the meaning or mood because it's just shifting focus between two things. It changes the viewer's perspective on the book in one picture, their eyes most likely will go straight to the glasses. In the 2nd picture the viewer's perspective is on the book and not on the glasses.
I like the simple yet artistic feel of your photos. The shift of focus is very clear and definitely changes where the viewer looks immediately. Good job!
